Kids Craft Note Holder

Kids Craft Note Holder

What you will need:

Miniature Clay pot from your craft store - they range in size
Floral foam
Wooden Dowel cut to size
Small clothes pin
Embellishment for pots (suggestions: buttons, lace, shells, lace, ribbon)
Decorative Moss
Acrylic Paints
Hot Glue Gun & glue sticks
Sponge paint brush

Instructions:

  • Precut your dowel to fit the height that you desire. Paint the cut dowel green. You can stand it up in a piece of the foam to make the painting and drying process easier. Allow one to two hours drying time or dry overnight.
  • Paint flower pots. I used three coats. Allow at least 30 minutes between coats.
  • Glue embellishments to the flowerpot. You can use hot glue or white school glue if small children are doing this project. If you use the white school glue, allow for drying time.
  • Cut foam to the size of the pot.
  • Hot glue clothespin to the top of the dowel.
  • Position the dowel into the foam
  • Arrange the moss over the foam.

You can add polished stones to the top of the moss for added effect.
