Craft Instructions:
I used hot glue for the eyes because they fall off easily if you use craft glue. To make the project go faster I glued the eyes and the hair on before the class and let the kids do the rest. I tested this craft on first graders. Fold doilies in half and cut a small slit (just large enough for the stem of the spoon) in the center top and slide it up over the bottom of the spoon. Secure with tape if you need to. Have the children decorate two triangles for the front and the back. Tape one triangle to the front and one to the back. Draw the mouth with permanent marker being careful to let it dry for a few minutes.
